A new film depicting the early life of Freddie Mercury is in the works, with Sacha Baron Cohen tipped to play the incredible musician. The film will focus on the early career of Mercury, up until Queen’s performance at live aid in 1985.
Some controversy is already surfacing as the films director, Peter Morgan (Frost/Nixon, The Queen) will not be addressing Mercurys AIDS related death, which occurred in 1991. The bio-pick will begin filming next year.
