Qantas Flight Terror
Around midnight last night, a ranting man declared to passengers on board Qantas flight QF029 to London via Hong Kong, that he was going to open the plane door, kill himself and that everyone was going to die. The man was said to be praying in what was recognized in Hebrew claiming that his action would be the will of God. The man was quickly detained and handcuffed and monitored for the rest of the journey to Hong Kong where he was met by Chinese officials and seven police men. Thankfully there were no reports of injuries and everyone seems to be fine ignoring the fright some people sitting near the man received. The cabin crew of the Qantas flight has been praised for their efficiency in dealing with the matter and for maintaining calm and order among the rest of the passengers.

Yum Yum dies :(
Australia's oldest living African elephant has died, with staff and animals from Taronga Western Plains Zoo now in mourning.
Yum Yum was the longest serving resident of the park, in Dubbo, central NSW, and will be sorely missed by locals and tourists alike. She was put down after suffering a digestive-related illness, aged approximately 41.
"Staff at Taronga Western Plains Zoo are deeply saddened by the passing of Yum Yum," general manager Matt Fuller said in a statement. "Yum Yum had a unique personality," Mr Fuller continued. "She was quietly assertive and was very easy going. She was highly intelligent and enjoyed learning new behaviours".
Yum Yum's health had been under observation for some time before her death due to her age, which led to a special aged care program being devised by her keepers.
Unfortunately, though, she took an unexpected turn for the worse. She was monitored around the clock but continued to deteriorate and on Saturday staff made the difficult and sad decision to put her down.
According to The World Wildlife Fund, African elephants can live until 70 but they are susceptible to age-related illness.
A zoo spokesman said Yum Yum was suffering from a digestive illness and that final tests would be carried out to determine the exact cause of death.

Flying Cars? AND, Flying Boats?... What the....?
The US has invested a further 3 million dollars into the development of a Flying Humvee. It wants to develop a car with vertical take off capabilities to remove the hassle of walls as well as avoid the hazards of improvised explosive devices (IED's). The company in charge of the creation has already started taking refundable deposits on the cars that are expected to be made withing the first two or three years. Unfortunately this technology will not be for use by civilians despite its possible solution to our traffic jams.
Furthermore continuing the arms race between America and the Middle East Iran has also invested in "Transformer" like technology with its development of the "Bavar 2" a small reconnaissance boat/plane, which it says is able to avoid radar by flying at low altitude. Though there are inherent problems with this technology this is an important stepping stone for the development of this technology for the future of warfare.
